Why Emre Can isn’t extending LFC contract (not because of money…)

Emre Can’s contract expires in 2018 and so far, Liverpool have not been able to reach an agreement with the 23-year-old midfielder.
He’s after £100k/week, but the stickling point in negotiations is reportedly because Can wants assurances that he’ll be used as a holding midfielder long-term.
The Guardian suggest Can has blamed his calf injury on the number of sprints he has to do in the box-to-box role and wants Jurgen Klopp to play him in his favoured position to help his form and protect his body!
