Stoke City remain confident of landing former England legend

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is keen to add Michael Owen to his side, but feels he needs to remove one or two strikers in order to free up the space for the former Liverpool man.
The 32-year-old is now a free agent after being released by Manchester United and not a single club has shown any eagerness to sign him up.
His wages could prove to be a stumbling block for Stoke, but Pulis has bigger issues to tackle. He already has an avalanche of strikers in Peter Crouch, Jon Walters, Mamady Sidibe, Kenwyne Jones and Cameron Jerome, and unless he removes one of them, making space for the ex-Real Madrid man would be difficult.
The Stoke manager said while speaking to Daily Express: “Michael hasn’t gone anywhere and it’s still a possibility. There’s still stuff happening and going on. Whether we can do a deal or not is another matter.”...
