Sam Allardyce accepts that Andy Carroll was not keen on leaving Liverpool for West Ham

West Ham United Manager Sam Allardyce never gave up in his attempts to take Liverpool misfit Andy Carroll to Upton Park this summer, and the wily veteran talked up the move in an interview on Tuesday with Goal.com.
Big Sam shared, “Andy wasn’t really keen to leave Liverpool, which you can understand, because he was a big transfer from Newcastle and wanted to show what he could do there. Wanted to show Brendan what he could do.”
