Rumor Mongering: Lazar Markovic to Olympiacos

Sure, why not? Liverpool signed Lazar Markovic for what was (at the time) an impressive £20 million fee from Benfica in the summer of 2014. And seemingly ever since that fateful day, Liverpool has been trying to move the young Serbian winger on.
After not being given much of a look-in under Brendan Rodgers, Markovic completed loan spells at Fenerbahçe, Sporting Lisbon, Hull, and most recently Anderlecht. In Belgium, the 24-year-old winger scored 1 goal in 7 total appearances. Hardly a successful loan, you could say.
Markovic now has a year left on his Liverpool contract, and the club has more than moved on. It’s fair to say that Klopp & Co. would like to recoup money--any money at all--for this player.
