Liverpool fan found guilty of racial abuse on Evra

A Liverpool fan has been banned from attending all Liverpool as well as English football matches, after he was found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra during their FA Cup clash.
 

Phillip Gannon, 58-year-old and the father of four, was harboring resentment during an FA Cup fourth round clash between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield. On 28th January 2012, Gannon was taped on live television making offensive monkey-like gestures aimed at Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
Liverpool star Luis Suarez had earlier been found guilty of racially abusing Evra and had suffered an eight-match ban for his gesture. This was the first clash between the Reds and the Red Devils after that verdict.
