Brendan Rodgers moves fast to protect Anfield youngster from being promoted too fast

Brendan Rodgers has convinced Trevor Brooking, the FA’s Director of Football Development that youngster Raheem Sterling is still not ready to play at the U-21 levels despite starting for Liverpool’s senior team in the present campaign.
Sterling is one of the few positives that came out in Liverpool’s season so far, as the Reds made a horrendous start to their Premier League campaign, failing to register a win in three outings.
The new manager at Anfield believes the 17-year-old is not yet ready to fill the heavy boots at U-21 level despite having the potentials and rushing him into the side ...
